Job Description

Gunderson Dettmer has an opening for a highly motivated and skilled Digital Marketing Assistant to join our communications team. As a Digital Marketing Assistant, you will develop and implement digital marketing strategies focused on email marketing, social media coordination, and reporting of these primary roles.  This is a temporary position with the opportunity to convert to permanent and may work remotely from one of our California or Austin offices. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or comparable experience in these fields. 
  • Proven experience in email marketing campaigns, including design and development, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in social media management across various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Hootsuite/Sprout, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding and execution of brand guidelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns for company events and invitations.
  • Assist with best practices on newsletters, announcement emails, and automated drip campaigns.
  • Coordinate and organize customer email lists with Salesforce integration
  • Monitor and analyze email performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates) to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Manage social media accounts by planning and scheduling content, engaging with followers, and monitoring trends.
  • Assist in the creation of compelling social media content (including text, image, and video) to increase brand visibility and engagement.
  • Monitor social media analytics and insights to track performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, design, sales) to align digital marketing efforts with overall business goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and social media.
Status
  • Full Time, Non-Exempt.

The expected starting salary is $25 to $30 per hour, dependent upon location, qualifications and experience.
